The Training Academy offers free, sector focused training to help you take the next step in your career pathway.

The Training Academy offers:

  • Financial support with Disclosure Scotland and PVG’s

What do you need to take part?

  • Currently in receipt of benefits
  • Enthusiasm to participate in group learning
  • Commitment to completing course
  • Eager to gain a role within focused sector

We work closely with carefully selected training partners, the Department of Work & Pensions and the Job Centre to offer skills & training to participants who are currently in receipt of benefits.

Our goal is to offer you valuable industry insight, alongside tailored training and qualifications to give you the best possible opportunity to land that next role.

Our courses currently cover Health & Social Care and the Public Sector with further sectors planned such as Construction, Retail & Hospitality and Digital Skills

Edinburgh FUSE Training Opportunities


Edinburgh FUSE has paired up with Fair Start to offer free online training aimed at helping individuals get into work. A variety of topics are on offer from confidence building to CV writing. All training is delivered online and you can dial in from a mobile, tablet, computer or laptop. These are interactive group sessions with other individuals so it’s a great way to meet others and pick up on job searching.

For the most part, training takes place online on Thursdays at 10:00am. To keep updated on the latest available sessions, you can follow @EdinFuse on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
