Job description

Fife Council are seeking a full time Business Support Administrator to support the Adult Wellbeing service within the East Lothian Health & Social Care Partnership. The post will be based in Randall House, Macmerry.


The purpose of this role is to provide advanced administrative support within Adult Wellbeing. Duties include: Receiving and processing information; Ensuring Adult Protection Guidelines and procedures are adhered to in relation to set timescales; Prioritisation of work tasks and supervising staff where required; Maintain accurate financial records and process payments and invoices promptly and timeously; Ordering supplies and equipment, monitoring stock levels when necessary; Linking and cross-checking information and statistics to prepare case notes; Creating minutes and recording multi-disciplinary complex meetings accurately, producing and distributing the resulting documentation; Providing specialist and technical support as required; Processing, recording and analysing data; Producing documents using Microsoft Office packages; Organising and coordinating meetings and/or events on a regular basis; Collating, reporting and distributing statistical information and documentation; Providing general administrative support directly to one or more managers as necessary; Dealing with both internal and external customers in line with the Council's customer care policy; Actively participating in and supporting meetings and working groups within the department and; Undertaking any duties or responsibilities appropriate to the grading of the post which may be assigned in light of changing needs within the department.

Essential criteria

The essential requirements for this role are: Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Administration/Information Management or equivalent and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
